The GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) course is a comprehensive diploma program designed to prepare students for a professional career as a Staff Nurse. This course focuses on patient care, clinical nursing practices, maternal and child health, and community healthcare. GNM nurses play a vital role in hospitals and healthcare institutions by providing compassionate, skilled, and ethical nursing services.
The GNM course is completed in 3 years, followed by 6 months of compulsory internship. The program combines classroom learning with extensive practical and clinical training in hospitals and healthcare centres.
The objective of the GNM program is to develop competent staff nurses who can deliver quality healthcare services, assist doctors in medical procedures, care for patients, and promote health education in hospitals and communities.
